Summer Update

The KPCA has officially adopted Monica Parkway and Prudence Drive through the Keep Sarasota County Beautiful program. There will be signs placed along these streets stating they have been adopted. The program requires quarterly cleanups along these roadways. If you would like to be part of these efforts please let us know. We will send out emails, post on Facebook and the website when a cleanup is scheduled. As always you can contact us at kpcasrq.office@gmail.com The Welcome Committee is up and going. Liz Cramer and Liz Vincent have been busy putting together the new bags with information and are out welcoming our new homeowners. We could use a couple of backup volunteers for this committee for when one of these ladies goes on vacation so if you have any interest in welcoming new homeowners to our community please let us know at Kpcasrq.office@gmail.com We are putting together the next newsletter it should be complete and in homes mid to late August. If you would like to advertise the prices for ads are business card size is $35 quarter page is $50, half page is $100 and full page $200. The add should be in pdf format and submitted to kpcasrq.office@gmail.com no later than July 25. You may have noticed we have been hard at work on the entrances and are finally ready to plant at Monica and Gocio entrance which will be happening in the next few days. The painting will also be completed at those entrances completing them. We then can fully focus on the Andrea entrance which is the last to be completed. For those of you who drove by while we were working on the entrances and commented “you would like to help but didn't have time” – you can help by paying your membership dues if you haven't already. The membership dues are how we are able to do project like pressure washing and painting the light and blocks. Mulch and new plants and more. You can mail a check to P.O. We are currently seeking a Vice President. The position requires 8 to 10 hours a month plus any extra events you chose to get involved with in our community as we have a few. If interested please let us know at kpcasrq.office@gmail.com Stolen trailer (recovered & returned to owner) dirt bike stolen (recovered in Manatee County) 12 ft trailer with lawn mower stolen In June we had: After placing the “See It, Hear It, Report It” signs I was curious to know what our crime stats were and as of now they are far less then they have been. the Sarasota County Police Department. We have a temporary liaison but no permanent replacement has been named as of now.For those of you who don't know, Deputy Karen Hicks has retire after 35 years of service to Criminal Mischief -Window Broken suspect identified and arrested Vehicle burglary- property stolen from unlocked car - LOCK YOUR CAR We are very close to 200 paid members for the first time in a number of years. This includes over 20 investor / landlords. As the President of the Association this years I can't tell you how much this means to the community. Between the membership dues and the donations it has given us the ability to do some very badly need maintenance on the entrance walls and pillars as well as the lights. We were able to get the lights cleaned and painted and all the plant beds revitalized with a new design, mulch, new plants and a lot of help from volunteers. We still have plenty of other projects on our plate that need to be addressed but, they also take funds to completed so, if you haven't already, please take a moment and pay your membership dues of $25.
